First, he created a dream board complete with pictures from magazines of everything he longed to have - lots of money in the bank, no debt or stress, time freedom, a lakeside home, sports cars, exotic vacations and yes, a private jet to ease his travels around the world. He could do without the jet, if it was too much to ask for. Second, he spoke aloud, and several times a day, his affirmations of worthiness to attract these things into his life. Third, regularly and during important times in the day, Bill engaged in vivid visualizations focusing on what it would be like when he was rich and what it would be like then. "The process was glorious and euphoric," Bill recounted while addressing 25,000 frenzied attendees at last night's abundance rally held at the City Center. "Nothing had happened yet, but I remained faithful and undaunted," he told the throng. Bill punctuated the prelude to his story about the miracle with this admission. "Charity did not share my enthusiasm - but that would soon change!" Bill settled into his speech and began to share the events of that life-changing morning. Bill was sitting in the easy chair deeply engaged in vivid visualization when his unsuspecting thirteen-year-old son, Adam, entered the room from the families one car garage. "Adam told me that I had this 'scary determined look on my face' and was clutching the armrests of mom's old easy chair so he interrupted the visualization." "Are you okay, dad?" "Yes," "What are you doing?" "I am visualizing." "What does that mean?" he remembered Adam asking. "It means you use your imagination to see things so clearly in your mind that the abundant universe will manifest it - give it to you." "What are you seeing?" "A Ferrari!" Adam loved cars and a Ferrari was at the top of his list! Apparently he has posters all over his room. "Are we getting a Ferrari?" "Yes, if you will leave me alone long enough to manifest it. I'm visualizing it in our garage as we speak." "In our garage?" "Yes!" Bill shouted to the audience, "Yes! I am worthy and deserving of having a Ferrari!" The audience erupted with cheers. As Bill and Adam shared this story with reporters after the event, Adam remembered peeking back in the garage only to see the family's 1986 Ford Taurus complete with growing rust spots and a Dole for president bumper sticker. He recalled this initial disappointment. "It wasn't there." Bill quickly jumped in during the interview. "I told him that you have to give it a little time." We digress. Let's get back to the story. Bill continued as the hopeful audience inched closer to the front of their seats. "Come here. I said to Adam. Let me show you how it's done." Adam approached and sat in an adjacent chair. "Close your eyes." "They're closed," Adam adamantly responded. "I want you to visualize a Ferrari in your mind. Can you see it?" "Yeah, I guess so." Pausing for affect, "Teenagers!" The audience again erupted in anxious laughter. "No guess so!" I sternly warned. "You have to do this with real intention. You have to focus all of your energy on it or it won't manifest." "Okay, I've got it." "What color is it? "Red." "Would you like to drive it?" "I haven't got a license." "You don't need a license to drive this Ferrari." The audience broke into spontaneous cheers. "Awesome!" "Climb in. Are you in?" "YES!" Adam was finally getting fully on board with the idea. "Turn the key and start her up." "VRUMMMM, VRUMMM," Adam verbalized as he pressed his foot against the leg of the coffee table. "Let's go, son. Put her in gear and take her out for a spin." After of quick spin around the neighborhood in which they thoroughly impressed the boy's friends, especially fourteen-year-old Emily, Bill was ready to complete the lesson for Adam...and the audience. "You see son. If you visualize what you want with enough intention, pour your energy in the visualization, really believe that you are worthy to receive it, the abundant universe will manifest that thing in your life. The universe will say, 'Your wish is my command.' You just have to be ready to receive. Cool huh?" "Are you sure, dad?" "Absolutely!" This is how the big guys do it. Bill gave Adam one of those reassuring dad hugs. Later that morning Bill was looking for his now delinquent son. Adam's only Saturday morning chore was to mow the tiny front and back lawn and a quick glance out the window had revealed a little more than two passes with the now idle mower resting in the tall grass. "Where is your brother?" Bill recounted angrily asking his ten-year-old daughter, Amanda. Amanda shrugged her shoulders in response and resumed vacuuming her bedroom. "Have you seen that son of yours?" Bill quizzed Charity who was standing on a small stool washing a window in the kitchen. "Have you tried his room?" Bill recounted Charity wryly replying while removing the last streak. "I mumbled under my breath some awful things and to my shame," Bill shared with the now pensive crowd. Bill exited the kitchen, turned the corner in hallway and entered his son's bedroom. There Adam sat, eyes closed, clutching the armrests of his computer chair, deep in thought. "What in the SAM H#@@ are you doing?" "Visualizing." Adam innocently and intently responded. "Visualizing what?!" "The lawn being mowed." "Don't be ridiculous! Everyone knows there is no such thing as a 'fantasy fairy' that is going to mow the grass for you!" Reflecting on that moment from a morning not too long ago and what was about to happen, Bill paused as tears began to well up in his eyes. "Just then Adam opened one eye and shyly pointed toward the window. Indignant, I spun around to look. I could hardly believe my eyes. Sure enough there it was in the yard of our humble family home in the middle of no where America - a real fairy. It was dressed in all of its whimsical attire floating in air as it zigged and zagged across our little yard as it effortlessly pushed the law mower with gentle nudges from its magical wand." Tears of relief flowed freely from everyone in the audience. "Then the fairy turned and gave me a knowing smile as it motioned toward the garage. I knew exactly what that meant. I exited the room, ran down the hall and to the door leading to the garage. I paused for a moment and then slowly opened the door." "Yes!!" Bill exclaimed. "Yes! In the garage there was a red F430 Spider!!!" The audience leaped to their feet and applause rang out. "It worked! It worked!" Bill shouted as he jumped around the stage in joy. "It worked!" Audience and reporters thronged the stage. The moment was engulfed in flashes of lights from thousands of cameras. Million dollar book deals were imminent. Every problem Bill once knew was over. _____________________________________
Just then Bill heard a loud noise. What was that? "Wake up, Bill! Wake up! Wake up!" Bill finally and reluctantly opened his eyes. Shaking his head, he attempted to clear his vision. There sat Charity hovering over him, curlers in her hair, face covered with a green creamy night mask. "What worked?" Charity kept asking while shaking Bill's shoulders. "What were you dreaming about?" Bill was speechless and just smiled. "It's 3 o'clock in the morning!" Charity exclaimed in frustration. It didn't matter. Bill had seen it. It had been real enough for him - Ferrari's, fame and fortune...and yes, fantasy fairies. Bill reached up and kissed his dear wife, Charity. Charity groaned and rolled back over to resume her night's rest. Bill, well Bill, decided to lie there in silence for a few more minutes and take his new Ferrari for a little spin. Just before he turned the key, he stopped to think, "Wonder if Adam is awake. I'm sure he would want to come along. ___________________________________ Visualization is 'one' of the critical steps in creation.
